Choosing a healthy diet, low in saturated fat is important to help keep your cholesterol levels low, but you can reduce your cholesterol levels a little further by including these foods in your every day diet. 

There are a number of foods that you can eat to get rid of your cholesterol, and these foods are great at helping to absorb all the cholesterol floating around your body.

Soluble fiber can reduce the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. 5 to 10 grams or more of soluble fiber a day decreases your body’s bad cholesterol levels, so as, your body’s total cholesterol.

Eating 1 1/2 cups of cooked oatmeal provides 6 grams of fiber. If you add fruit, such as bananas, you’ll add about 4 more grams of fiber. To mix it up a little, try steel-cut oatmeal or cold cereal made with oatmeal or oat bran.

4. FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Soya foods help lower cholesterol because they are naturally low in saturated fat. Studies show that you can lower your cholesterol by around 6% by including as little as 15g soya protein per day. The special proteins in soya also appear to influence how the body regulates cholesterol too.
