Whether large, small, clustered or not, skin warts are not pleasing to see. Skin warts are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. They are a very common skin problem that are somehow self-limiting – they will go away on their own – but could take up to several months, or even years.
If the growth is on your face, hands, or somewhere that is always being irritated by clothing or jewelry, then the thought of waiting this long can be both discouraging and frustrating.
Most warts are contagious and can be spread to different parts of the body by picking them, or from one person to another through direct contact with the infected tissue.
Although they are actually HARMLESS, they can be disturbingly irritating. Hence, many people look for ways to remove them quickly while also preventing the risk of re-appearance.
Duct tape
It has been reported that warts can be treated by covering them with duct (duck) tape or other nonporous tape, such as electrical tape. In this case, the tape must be left in place all the time and removed only a few hours once per week. The tape must be replaced frequently.
Wart removal can be easy and painless, and some treatments require patience but for best results, it is always recommended that you consult it first with a medical professional.
