Autism Cure, Is It Possible?

According to reports, Autism strikes 2% of the children from the US that is now alarmingly increasing. Members of the medical establishment maintain that they cannot ascertain the cure and claim for the cause to still be unknown.

What is Autism?

Autism Cure, Is It Possible?Autism is known as a complex developmental disability. The condition is the result of a neurological disorder that has an effect on normal brain function, affecting the development of a person’s communication and social interaction skills. Experts believe that Autism presents itself during the first three years of a person’s life.

Primarily, people with autism have issues on non-verbal communication and social interactions.

An autistic patient faces some unusual symptoms like monotonous behavior, fear to make eye contact, lack of attention, inability to engage in too many activities, common repetitive behaviors such as hand-flapping, rocking, jumping and twirling, arranging and rearranging objects, and repeating sounds, words or phrases.

If the symptoms are detected before three years, parents should contact behavior therapists. Doctors should refer the child to a specialist in developmental evaluation and early intervention. Evaluation techniques include hearing and lead exposure tests as well as an autism-specific screening tool such as M-Chat, are required to be used for proper diagnosis,” said Dr Durga Prasad Mishra.

Way back then, many people with autism were placed in institutions. With appropriate services and support, training and information, children on the autism spectrum will grow, learn and flourish, even at a different developmental rate than others.

As each person responds to treatment differently, the Autism Society cannot endorse any one treatment or program. Families should educate themselves about all options and choose what they feel is at of their child’s best interest.

Individuals can use the positive aspects of their condition to their benefit, but treatment must begin as early as possible and focus on the individual’s unique strengths, weaknesses and needs.

In this regard, it is important to match a child’s potential and specific needs with treatments or strategies that are likely to help them reach established goals.
